Exile on Main Street has served as one of the Champaign-Urbana community’s preeminent record stores since 2004. Visit us for all of your vinyl, CD, and cassette needs, new and used alike. We also dabble in vintage video games and a smattering of old print media.

Here at Exile we appreciate all kinds of music, but we typically look for: Rock, Jazz, R&B / Soul, Heavy Metal, Punk / New Wave, Alternative / Indie, Experimental, Dance Music (Disco / House / Techno), Folk, Hip Hop / Rap, and international music genres such as Reggae, and a wide variety of latin and African styles. Of course this list is not exhaustive and if you are unsure, feel free to give us a call.
We are generally not as interested in: Big Band / Dixie-Jazz / Swing, Most classical (with some exceptions for Modern and Audiophile pressings), Most country (earlier 50s/60s titles excluded), Polka, Easy Listening, Crooner / Vocal Jazz (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr, etc.), Children’s Records, and Holiday records
